No, the TytoCare Device can be used for both children and adults.

All of the exams can be completed on your own. The lung exams require recordings on your back, which we know is challenging to do alone.
If you don’t have someone to help you with the lung exam, you can take recordings only from the front, and skip the locations on your back.

You can usually see a doctor (or other clinician) within 10-15 minutes, depending on the volume of patients at the time.

Yes. With our Exam and Forward workflow, you can perform the exams on your own and save them to be shared with your doctor.

Yes. After you pair your TytoCare Device to your mobile device, you can use it to perform a temperature exam at any time on your own.

Yes. You can perform exams with your TytoCare Device, save them to My Exams, and share them with a trusted contact via email.

Yes, after saving exams, you can go back and play them back. You can also share exams with yourself using email via the share function.

Yes, after completing and uploading the exams using your TytoHome Device, you can review all the exams captured in the MyExam option in your TytoCare app

The TytoHome Device doesn’t include the ability to measure blood pressure. However, in the Exam and Forward flow, you can manually add a blood pressure measurement for the doctor to review.

TytoCare pairs with our partner provider network in your area to offer you on-demand access to medical care. You may also be able to use the share exams options to send your exams to your doctor via email.

Yes. After performing exams on your TytoCare Device, you have an option to securely share that exam with a family member or with your own doctor via email.

You can use your TytoHome Device with doctors from our partner provider network. Sign up using the TytoCare app and we will match you with a healthcare provider in your area. You can also record exam data using your Device and send it to your doctor via email.

The TytoCare app is free to download, and there is no monthly fee. The TytoCare Device is purchased separately, either through your healthcare provider (if offered) or from a retail outlet, such as BestBuy or tytocare.com. You will need to pay a per-visit fee in order to see a doctor, which without insurance may cost up to $59.99 per visit, depending on the healthcare provider in your area. You may be eligible for reimbursements from your insurance provider.

You can record as many exams as you want using the TytoCare Device. You will only incur a charge when you decide to send these exams or initiate a live video visit with a doctor or other clinician.

The process of setting up your TytoCare Device takes up to 10 minutes. There are only a few steps: unboxing, sign up, pairing, Tyto Academy (a practice visit), and conducting a real visit. We strongly recommend setting up your TytoCare Device as soon as you get it, so you’ll be ready to use it when someone is sick.

TytoHome requires a smartphone or tablet to download the TytoCare app and set up the Device.

To use TytoHome, you need a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) to download the TytoCare app. You need to charge your TytoCare Device before starting, and it’s best to set it up as soon as you get it. During setup, you will need your Wi-Fi password, and we recommend having a second adult to help perform exams when using the Tyto Academy.

If you received your TytoHome Device from a healthcare provider, through your insurance, or from an employer, please check if they sent you instructions for creating an account. You may need to download the TytoCare app or other apps in order to create an account. If you purchased the TytoHome Device directly from BestBuy or tytocare.com, you can simply sign up for an account and we will match you with a TytoCare medical service provider in your area. We will never charge you or start a real doctor’s visit until you’re ready.

Yes, you can add your dependents to your account. If you are with LiveHealth Online, anyone over 18 will need to create their own user.

“When you first log in to Tyto and go to start a visit, you will be asked to choose your patient. Automatically, the account creator will have a patient created for them. You can add other patients, such as children, as long as they are under 18:
1. In the TytoCare App screen, open the menu at the top left corner of the screen.
2. Tap Patient List and then tap Add a Patient.
3. Enter the child’s information and tap Save.”

“If the patient you want to add is 18+, they should download the app onto their own mobile device and create their own account.
1. Create a new account with the patient’s email, by using the sign-up option from the first TytoCare App screen. Don’t use the same email as the existing account.
2. After the sign-up process is complete, pair the TytoCare Device in the same way as was done with the other account.
3. The TytoCare Device shows the list of patients in the last account it was connected to. To connect the TytoCare Device to the new account, log in with the new account and wait for the TytoCare Device to automatically connect.”

The following are the minimum requirements for devices:
iPhone devices (iOS):

Android devices:
Samsung: S5 and later, S6+ and later, J7 and later, A9X, A8X, A7X, Note 5 and later
Xiaomi: Redmi Note 4 and later, MI 5 and later
LG: G4 and later
Google Pixel: Android version 6 and later
*Note that in rare cases, where a device has unique platform or memory attributes, it might not be supported by the Tyto application.

Make sure that the TytoCare Device is turned off. Thoroughly wipe the exterior of the TytoCare Device with 70% alcohol wipes or with pads impregnated with 70% alcohol and allow to air dry for at least two minutes.
To clean the otoscope, dip a cotton swab (Q-tip) in 70% alcohol and gently rub the otoscope lens (located at the front). Use the disposable ear caps included with your TytoCare Kit to keep the otoscope lense clean.
Do not use a brush to clean the lens, as this might scratch it. Do not use any other cleaning materials or chemicals to clean the TytoCare Device.
Note: For cleaning, you can use standard 70% alcohol, but for disinfection, isopropyl/ethyl alcohol is required.

TytoHome is approved for purchasing with HSA/FSA funds.

Because TytoHome is HSA/FSA approved, you can pay on tytocare.com using your HSA/FSA debit card. You can also use another form of payment and apply for reimbursement through your plan at the discretion of your provider.

If you used a different credit card from your HSA/FSA debit card to purchase your TytoHome, please contact your HSA/FSA provider for reimbursement.

No, please only use one form of payment at checkout.

You should follow the normal process as with any other medical reimbursement claims. You will need to reach out to your HSA or FSA provider for more details on how to proceed. If you have yet to buy the product, you can purchase from our website using your FSA or HSA card.
