Yes, the kit is completely mobile. You will just need to use your Device on the network (WiFi or mobile hotspot) at your vacation location. Your visit will still be free since you received your TytoCare Device through the Anthem Select program.

To use TytoHome, you need a smartphone or tablet (iOS or Android) to download the TytoCare app. You need to charge your TytoCare Device before starting, and it’s best to set it up as soon as you get it. During setup, you will need your Wi-Fi password, and we recommend having a second adult to help perform exams when using the Tyto Academy.

Tyto has built-in training videos and guidance technology to help ensure accuracy and ease-of-use. When you use Tyto during a live telehealth exam, your clinician will guide you through the examination process, letting you know where to put the stethoscope on your heart, where to place the otoscope inside the ear, etc.

A Tyto visit provides your physician with high-quality digital sounds of the heart and lungs, high-quality digital images and video of the ears, throat, and skin and measures heart rate and body temperature. Using this examination data, your doctor can provide you with a diagnosis, treatment plan, and prescription if needed.

Yes, you and your family members can use the same device.

Exam data is sent via an encrypted, secure network and is stored on our HIPAA-compliant cloud. Only you and your healthcare provider can determine who can access your medical records.

Tyto Stethoscope is FDA cleared and all other devices comply with FDA requirements.

Yes. Tyto is lightweight, compact, and portable. It is designed for all types of remote use. All you need is the TytoApp, a smartphone or tablet, and a Wi-Fi connection.

Currently there are no specialty-specific providers under the Anthem TytoCare service. You have the option to perform an exam and send the information to a trusted contact, such as one of your specialists.

All providers who use Tyto are licensed medical professionals. You can send exam data to your own physician or to one from our network of providers during off-hours.

At this stage, the service for Anthem members is for General Practice or Urgent Care consultations and exams. You can record exam data and send it to, for example, your cardiologist.

Not automatically, but you can share your exam data with your provider via the “Exam and Share” feature, which emails the files to them for review.

To request an online visit, you will first record your exams and send to the first available clinician. 

Yes, your provider will send you a recommendation.

You don’t need to do anything – based on their age, kids will be automatically routed to a pediatrician.

If you want to see a provider online, your exam data will be reviewed and you will be connected with the soonest available provider. However, you can use the Exam-and -Share feature to send information to your trusted provider through a secure email link.

The visits are 100% free with no co-pay.

As an Anthem member, you receive your Tyto device free of charge! You can use your device to conduct online doctor visits at no cost to you or your family.

Absolutely. Because you received your TytoCare device through the Anthem Select program, your Tyto visits are free of charge, even if your coverage has changed.

“Your pharmacy and insurance info are saved after the first time you fill those out and can be changed in your User Profile settings:
1. Click the hamburger menu in the top left corner of the app.
2. Select User Profile.
3. Select Set under Pharmacy.

Setting up your device will take around 15-25 minutes. The process is made up of a few stages: unboxing, registration, pairing, TytoAcademy, and conducting a visit.

For dependents under 18, add them through the in Add a patient feature in the app. For family members over 18, have them register using the ANTHEM2 code.

We are required to collect date of birth, address, and other information.

TytoApp works with iOS (latest 2 versions) and Android (4.4.4 and later), and is compatible with most Apple iOs and Android OS devices.

When you first log in to Tyto and start a visit, you will be asked to choose your patient. You, as the account creator, will have a patient profile automatically created – you’ll see it as the only one on the list. You can now add other patients, such as children, from that same screen. If a patient is over 18, legal/privacy regulations require that they download the app to their phone or tablet and create their own account. They can, however, share the same Tyto device.
