The Texas Access Playbook: How Innovation Is Closing Rural Care Gaps

Texas playbook

Some provider leaders in Texas are still pushing, long after the easy wins are gone.

They’re navigating rural and regional access challenges that don’t show up cleanly on dashboards. Workforce constraints that can’t be solved with another pilot. Communities spread across vast geographies that still expect timely, trusted care, without traveling hours to get it.

This webinar, hosted by TytoCare and Bright Spots in Healthcare, brought together Texas-based provider leaders who are actively rethinking how and where care is delivered across the state. Not to showcase polished success stories but to talk candidly about the work still in motion.

We explored:

  • What’s actually working to extend clinical reach in rural and regional settings
  • What’s still breaking and why
  • How leaders are making tradeoffs when capacity is constrained and stakes are real
  • What it really takes to scale access without burning out teams or diluting care quality

The focus wasn’t technology in isolation. It was the decisions behind it: how workflows are being redesigned, how clinicians are supported, and how virtual and hybrid care are becoming essential infrastructure not an add-on.
