How Corewell Health mitigates staff shortages and addresses load balancing with TytoCare

Hear from Becca Guenthardt, PA-C, and the Corewell team, about how TytoCare helped them provide high-quality care for their patients remotely.
When Becca Guenthardt, PA-C at Corewell Health, had an accident that left her struggling to provide in-person care to her patients in Big Rapids, Michigan, the team at Corewell Health started working with TytoCare to enable her to provide ongoing care for her patients while working remotely.

The other day we saw like over 50 patients in a 12 hour shift with TytoCare.

Becca works together with Sandy Giese, an MA who is on-site at urgent care clinics, to examine and diagnose patients using TytoCare. She’s able to listen to their heart and lungs, look into their ears and throat, and check their skin and temperature.
Becca can continue treating patients across three different clinics, while working remotely. This has impacted staff shortages in rural settings and helps with load balancing, with different clinics getting Becca online with them when they’re experiencing busy periods.

I’ll never forget this moment where this lady came in and she was sick, she was really sick. She had a really bad cough and I thought I heard pneumonia. And I was like “There’s no way that this machine just picked that up, no way.” So I got a chest X-ray and surely there was a pneumonia right where I heard it. And at that moment in time, I’m like, “OK, I can trust this thing.”
