Joanna Braunold leads content and communications at TytoCare, where she focuses on how virtual care can improve access for patients and make care delivery simpler for providers and health systems. As the host of the Access Amplified podcast, she brings forward practical conversations with leaders who are expanding care in smart, sustainable ways. Joanna’s work centers on translating real challenges and real solutions into stories that help the industry move forward with clarity and impact.

With over 15 years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare operations, Jared has successfully driven innovation and growth across hospital, outpatient, academic, and virtual care settings. Skilled in strategic operations, physician alignment, and performance management, he has consistently improved financial performance, patient outcomes, and team cohesion in both non-profit and for-profit environments. Currently serving as the Director of Virtual Care at OSU Medicine, Jared is passionate about leveraging technology and collaborative strategies to enhance healthcare accessibility and delivery. Jared holds a Master’s in Healthcare Administration from Oklahoma State University – Center for Health Sciences and is a member of the American College of Healthcare Executives.  

Bradley Anderson, a board-certified Internal Medicine physician with a background deeply rooted in rural Missouri. I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Health Science, specializing in Radiology, from Missouri Southern State University. Following that, I pursued my medical education at Campbell University School of Osteopathic Medicine in North Carolina, followed by a residency in Internal Medicine at Oklahoma State University. 

My career journey led me to join the faculty at Oklahoma State University, where I now serve as a Clinical Assistant Professor of Internal Medicine and hold multiple administrative roles including Medical Director of Virtual Care, Vice Chair of the OSUMC Internal Medicine Department, and Medical Director of the Hospitalist at Cleveland Area Hospital. My commitment lies in bridging the healthcare gap in underserved communities, particularly through the innovative avenue of Virtual Care, ensuring that specialized medical expertise reaches those who need it most. 

Lacey Finkbeiner is currently employed at Horizon Health Care as a Clinical Informatics Specialist. Lacey has worked in the FQHC world for over 15 years, beginning her career at Prairie Community Health in Isabel, SD. In 2016 Prairie Community Health and Horizon Health Care merged forces in which she has continued her employment path. Currently at Horizon Lacey works closely with our electronic health record and telemedicine programs.  

Lacey was born and raised in Isabel, SD. After high school she completed college at the University of Mary in Bismarck, ND graduating with a Bachelor’s of Science and minor in Management Information Systems in 2007 and Master’s in Business Administration in 2009. Lacey enjoys camping, travelling, volunteering in community activities, and spending time with her family. 

Mark Pals holds a B.S. in Neuroscience and an MBA with a specialization in Healthcare Administration. He brings a strong background in behavioral health and research to his work in virtual care. Over the past four years at Sanford Health, Mark has served as a Customer Success Strategist and now leads the team, driving adoption and success across the organization’s virtual care initiatives. He has implemented more than 200 virtual care delivery projects and has trained hundreds of clinicians on effective use of TytoCare’s remote physical exam technology. 

Alexis Apple is the Director of Federal Affairs at the American Telemedicine Association (ATA) and serves as Head of Federal Government Relations at ATA Action, the ATA’s affiliated trade association dedicated to advocacy. In these roles, Alexis leads federal policy strategy and engagement with Congress, the Administration, and regulatory agencies, working closely with ATA and ATA Action members—as well as a broad coalition of like-minded organizations—to eliminate barriers to telehealth adoption. Her efforts are focused on ensuring that patients, providers, and payers alike can fully realize the benefits of virtual care, from improved access and affordability to better health outcomes. 

Alexis has been with the ATA and ATA Action for over four years, serving in a variety of policy roles that have shaped her expertise in digital health policy, reimbursement, and healthcare delivery reform. Most recently, she played a key role in advancing and passing into law the first dollar-one coverage of telehealth for High Deductible Health Plans paired with Health Savings Accounts (HDHP-HSAs), which allows employers to offer covered telehealth services to employees enrolled in these plans. This major policy achievement represents a milestone in expanding access to affordable telehealth for millions of Americans. 

She has also guided advocacy campaigns on Medicare telehealth flexibilities, remote patient monitoring, digital therapeutics, and other priority issues at the intersection of technology and healthcare. Her work and perspective have been featured in publications such as Inside Health Policy, Bloomberg Government, and South Carolina Public Radio.  

Before joining the ATA, Alexis worked at a boutique lobbying firm in Washington, D.C., where she advanced federal policies related to education and international relations. This experience gave her a strong foundation in legislative advocacy and coalition building, skills she continues to apply in healthcare policy today. 

Taylor Carlan is the School-Based Virtual Care Coordinator at Tri-Area Community Health, serving Carroll County, Grayson County, and Galax City Schools. She has been with the organization for 13 years, previously working as a Front Office Receptionist and Medical Records Coordinator. Taylor is passionate about improving access to care for students and families. She enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband and two children. 

Pam Hylton, a graduate of Virginia Tech and Radford University, began her career working with children and adolescents as a crisis counselor at Blue Ridge Behavioral Healthcare. After earning her LPC, she became the lead counselor at the Roanoke Valley Juvenile Detention Center. Pam later moved into education, teaching high school psychology and sociology for five years in Henry County, followed by nine years as a school counselor in Patrick County. She joined Tri-Area Community Health in 2021 as a behavioral health provider and has since advanced to lead the organization’s integrated school-based health program.  Her career reflects a steadfast commitment to ensuring young people receive the care they need to thrive.
